Some screenshots from my latest video and love story ‘Hearts of Asia’ that I will release on Wednesday, I’m super excited to share this with you!! 🎬

I’ve been in Taiwan last December where I did this video during my holidays as a personal project in collaboration with @dzofilm , thanks to @josephlu_lu for the good casting.
.
This was shot on DZO Pavo 2x Anamorphic lenses with Sigma FP camera and BRAW paired with Blackmagic video assist 7’. Video edited in Davinci Resolve and color graded with Dehancer. The lenses are S35 but cover Full frame 16x9 + border crop to come back to a 21x9 ratio. (No open gate FF) 🎥

It’s also super light for a 2x anamorphic as it’s only 1.2kg for the lense. When you pair it with a 400g full frame camera (the fp) you can easily put it on a gimbal and still feel it lightweight.
.
I loved the look it gives with big barrel distortion and oval bokeh, I used it mostly fully wide open at T2.1 which is a bit too soft sometimes but perfect when you close a bit. Some shots were with PrismLensFX Halo FX filter.

Happy to release my latest short film « Road to

Happy to release my latest short film « Road to Dawn ».
@dzofilm contacted me with an exciting challenge: to create a 2-minute short film using only their new Arles Prime 180mm T/2.4 lens. Could everything be captured with just one lens? Challenge accepted. To push the boundaries even further, I chose the most difficult subject for that type of lens: a motorcycle in action.
.
I shot this dynamic film on a full-frame camera with BMCCFF, utilizing the lens’s Vista Vision coverage, which provided significantly less zoom than S35. I expertly balanced the camera and the 180mm lens on a Ronin S3 Pro, operating the focus motor in manual mode. Despite being the heaviest lens in the series, the 180mm performed flawlessly, ensuring smooth and stable footage. Without this advanced setup, the driving sequences would have been impossible due to excessive shake.

This project demonstrates the versatility and high performance of the 180mm T/2.4 lens in capturing fast-paced, action-packed scenes, in a very small crew (solo operator at camera). The motor ignition sequence is also shot with that lense.

This film explores the city of Amsterdam and its beautiful natural surroundings on an introspective journey from the town to the beach.
